Grand Electric Cooperative, Inc. is available anywhere in the
Grand service territory.

Sales, Delivery, Installation,
and Service Grand Electric offers several different
types of heating and cooling systems including central heating and cooling systems, window units, electric space heating,
air-to-air heat pumps, and
under-slab floor heating. Grand Electric also delivers such products and
provides the installation. Service on heating and cooling
systems purchased through Grand Electric Cooperative, Inc. is
available anywhere in the Grand service territory.

Member Loan Program
The cooperative has available low-interest loans to qualifying
members. For purchasing appliances, heating and cooling systems,
or wiring, members have two options:
Loans under $5,000: 20% down, 6% interest, and monthly or annual payments
for up to 3
years.
Loans over $5,000: 20% down, 6% interest, and monthly or annual
payments for up to 5
years.

Low-Cost Water Heater
Grand Electric also has low-cost water heaters
available. With a purchase of a reduced-wattage water heater
element, members receive a $60 rebate.

Dual Fuel Service
This efficient system is capable of heating an entire structure or
house. Grand Electric Cooperative's has two dual fuel service
categories available to consumers: 1) Farm and Residential and 2)
Commercial.
Farm and Residential: Available for use of electricity for
electric heating by farm and
residential consumers with a fully automatic, full requirement fossil fuel back-up heating
system, and provided that the electric heat use is metered separately
from other uses of
electricity.
- Discount:
From October 1 through April 30, all separately metered kilowatt-hours
used
under this rate are eligible for a discount of 1.65¢.
Commercial: Available for use of electricity for electric heating
by commercial
establishments, churches, schools, fire halls, community halls, township halls, and similar
type consumers
with a fully automatic, full requirement fossil fuel back-up heating system,
and provided that the electric heat use is metered
separately from other uses of electricity.
- Discount:
From October 1 through April 30, all separately metered kilowatt-hours
used
under this rate are eligible for a discount of 1.4¢.

Electric Heat Rate
Grand Electric Cooperative's electric heat rate has two different
categories available to consumers: 1) Farm and Residential
and 2) Commercial.
Farm and Residential: Available to members for their own farm and
residential uses of
electricity for electric heating, provided that the electric heat use is metered separately from
other
uses of electricity. The current energy charges are as follows: 7.1¢ per kilowatt for
the first 250 kilowatt-hours and 4.9¢ per
kilowatt for all kilowatt-hours used after the first
250.
- Discount:
From October 1 through April 30, all separately metered kilowatt-hours
used
under this rate are eligible for a discount of 1.25¢.
Commercial: Available for use of electricity for electric heating by
commercial
establishments, churches, schools, fire halls, community halls, township halls, and similar
type consumers,
provided that electric heat use is metered separately from other uses of
electricity. The current energy charges are as follows:
6.5¢ per kilowatt for the first 500
kilowatt-hours, 5.95¢ per kilowatt
for next 5,500 kilowatt-hours, 5.95¢ per kilowatt for
any additional kilowatt-hour up to 320 kilowatt-hours, and 3.5¢ per kilowatt for any
additional off-peak energy.
- Discount:
From October 1 through April 30, all separately metered kilowatt-hours
used
under this rate are eligible for a discount of 1¢.

Levelized Budget
Billing
This program is available to members who wish to even out their
monthly bills to fit within their monthly budget. Monthly bill
amounts are based on an average of the 12 most recent bills.
This average will result in small variations each month rather
than a large adjustment at the end of each 12-month period.
These variations usually are between two and five dollars a
month.
